The Insider Perspective on Phytocannabinoids

Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids that are derived from plant material. The human body contains a variety of cannabinoid receptors throughout its systems primarily located on nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, but also the neurological system, white blood cells, and endocrine system. Our bodies are created to produce their own cannabinoids, which the body’s endocannabinoid system uses to regulate these important bodily systems. The endocannabinoid system sends cannabinoids to these receptors so that beneficial chemical reactions can occur, including healing.

Scientists believe that most of us are deficient in cannabinoids due to the lack of the ingredient in our food chain. This is one reason why CBD products have become increasingly important as we discover their role in the wellness journey. They seem to naturally give the body cannabinoids so that our endocannabinoid system can use them properly.

Cannabis is extremely unique in that it contains a wide variety of cannabinoids that cannot be found in any other plants. The hemp plant in particular contains special cannabinoids that have been found to benefit the mind and body.

Hemp plants are categorized by strains, and each strain is determined by its unique combination of cannabinoids and other plant compounds. In other words, some strains will have more of Cannabigerol (CBG) while others will have more Cannabinol (CBN) cannabinoid. Each cannabinoid affects the body in its own unique way, which is why different strains can produce different effects. Our proprietary strain of hemp has the greatest production of CBG than any other in the world.
